Spring is here and the snow and ice are melting away. In the past I have seen rc dirt bike tires fitted with screws to run on ice, but nothing that looked like a professional ice racing motorcycle. Last month I found photos from Manfred Hallman and an Anderson M5 cross (DX450 here in the USA) 1/5 dirt bike modified for ice racing. Just like the professional bikes, this M5 was fitted with serious protection around the wheels with custom built fenders. The original post can be found at RC-Motorradforum.de If you live near a frozen pond or lake, this may be a fun winter project. Enjoy these photos and video to inspire you for next winter when the ice returns!
